2007 ANNUAL INSTALLATION BANQUET
01/13/2007

On January 13, 2007, The Eddington Fire Company held its Annual Installation Banquet at The Eddington Room. We would like to recognize a few awards that reflect the good things that are happening within the walls of our firehouse. The Eddington Fire Company is an all volunteer service and all the members should be proud of what the station has accomplished during 2006.

Fire Police Captain, Jim Curran, received the honor of being the annual Chief’s award recipient for the year 2006. Chief Devenney presented the award to Jim for going above and beyond ensuring scene safety and traffic management, while responding nearly 45% of our alarms. Congratulations Jim!.

Lt. Daniel Bevans and FF Daniel Mertz were presented with a heroism award. On Sept 28, 2006 Lt. Bevans and FF Mertz were manning the first line into the structure that resulted in the successful rescue of two children by a Nottingham Firefighter at the Creekside Apartments. The actions of both firefighters directly supported a heroic team effort made by Fire, Police, and EMS personnel.

Past Chief Glenn Hackbart was presented with an award from the Eddington Fire Co for his past service of 19 years as a chief officer of our company. Glenn held the position of Chief from 2004 to 2006. Your timeless devotion of service will not be forgotten.

Past President Ed Wheat was presented with an award from the Eddington Fire Co for his past service as President of our company. Ed handled the most thankless position in the company and pulled many strings behind the scenes to keep our company operating everyday. Thank you for your time as president.

FF Steve Maw (left) and FF Mike Lorenzo (right) received an award for attending the most in-house and county training courses for the year. Training requirements in the fire service are increasing and these firefighters should take pride in their accomplishment. Good Job Guys!

Congratulations to FF Joe Reynolds (left) and FF/EMT Dan Butler (right). Joe has unselfishly devoted 20 years of service to our department. Dan has completed 15 years of volunteer service and has reached the status of a Life Member. Thank you for your service gentlemen!
